This morning I helped out Dan again, we poured concrete and built up his retaining wall.  The work was not easy, but it most definitely was rewarding.

My mind has been scattered lately, trying to figure out what to do with my Tacoma.  I have never missed a payment, despite my lack of steady employment.  I would like to sell the truck, yet haven’t found a potential buyer present a reasonable offer.  My girlfriend drives a beat up mid 90’s Cavalier that sounds ready to die.  I am thinking about trading my truck for a Honda Element that she can drive.  I need to call the bank and find out how much I actually I owe on my truck.  How does it work trading in a vehicle that is worth more than the one you wish to trade for?  Would a car dealership take your more valuable trade, give you a new car and the difference in cash?  I’m asking because I have honestly no idea.  I purchased my Tacoma about a year and a half ago, and that was my first ever dealership purchase.  I got screwed royally in every way that a rookie first time buyer can, and really have no idea what I am doing in regards to purchasing vehicles at dealerships.

I have plenty of hoopties that I can drive, I don’t need a reliable truck right now.  She needs a reliable vehicle more than I.  This is a weird spot to be in life.  I have never been in this line of thinking before, basically thinking about the long term good for a team vs just myself.  I could sure use some advice.

I could go on, but that is a decent short story for tonight.  I am beyond tired from my work this morning, and I have another session of concrete work to do tomorrow morning as well.

Thanks for tuning in.
