My good friend and fellow Marine Service Engineer Matt just got himself a new-to-him boat.  Its a 1942 82′ Navy vessel.  There is a lot of work to be done here, but man talk about a cool project.  It’s like being on a live museum.  Wooden boats are a dying breed these days, the man who did the last work on this ship is now 82 years old.  Matt has been in contact with him to learn about the work done.

Honestly I have much to learn about this thing.  WW2 History is fascinating to me, but I am no expert.  His new boat is actually docked up in Seattle at the same shipyard I work at every winter.  He has a lot of plans for this project, first and foremost is to build a cover to keep the rain off of us.

This is going to be a slowly updated story.  I am pretty excited for December, my blog is going to get quite interesting as I will be up in Seattle working on boats every day, and blogging at night.  I will have lots of cool stories, pictures and more for y’all.

I am keeping this story short and sweet, so that I can take time to do more important things tonight.  Thanks for tuning in.
